We already know that Motorola is working on a new smartphone, the One Power, that will come with iPhone X-like notch and Android One branding. Now, new press renders and keys have emerged online revealing some important information about the upcoming device.

The information about the upcoming smartphone was shared by a known tipster, Andri Yatim. Starting with the design first, the press renders are in line with previous leaks that suggested iPhone X-like notch and Android One branding.

According to the leakster, the notched display of the Motorola One Power will carry support for Full HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 636 chipset will be powering the phone along with 6 GB of RAM. It will have an internal storage of 64 GB.

He has further added that the dual camera setup of the phone will include an f/1.8 aperture 16-megapixel primary sensor and an f/2.0 aperture 5-megapixel secondary sensor. For shooting selfies, it will be fitted with an f/1.9 aperture 16-megapixel frontal camera. It will be coming with the usual connectivity features including NFC. The handset receives power from a 3,780mAh battery. 

It is speculated that Motorola won’t be releasing Moto X5 Android One smartphone this year. Rumors have suggested that the company will launching the One Power smartphone instead of Moto X5.

The specifications of the smartphone suggest that it could be aimed towards the upper mid-range market. As of this writing, there is no information available on its pricing.

Lenovo Z5, which could be the world’s first true bezel-less smartphone will launch at the China Film Director Center in Beijing today. Lenovo Z5 launch event will begin at 2 PM local time, which is around 11:30 AM in India. Lenovo’s next-generation flagship is said to have screen-to-body ratio of 95 per cent, which is the highest seen on a phone so far. The world’s first true bezel-less phone will launch with 4TB internal storage and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based dual camera setup.

Ahead of launch, Lenovo Z5 price has been leaked on China’s JD.com. As per the listing, the Z5 could be priced at 9,999 yuan, which is Rs 1 lakh plus on conversion making it Lenovo’s most expensive smartphone yet. Of course, we will have to wait for official confirmation to know more.

Lenovo has put out several official teasers of its upcoming phone in the past. The company’s Vice President Chang Cheng also shared a concept sketch of Lenovo Z5 with no bezels at all on Chinese social networking site Weibo. The phone does not seem to sport a notch, a trend which has become common on most smartphones these days. 4TB storage for Lenovo Z5 was also revealed in a Weibo post by Cheng. The company claims that Z5’s internal space can store up to 1 million photographs, 2000 HD movies, and 150,000 lossless music files.

Lenovo Z5 camera samples shared by the company suggest the phone will come with AI-powered dual rear cameras. Both the camera samples seem to have been taken in the dark to highlight enhanced camera performance low-light conditions. Separately, tipster SlashLeaks took to Twitter to share a rendered image of Lenovo Z5 which shows a chin at the bottom of the phone, said to house the selfie camera and proximity sensors. Of course, the leak is not an official confirmation and we will have to wait for the launch to know more. Reports also suggest that Z5 will come with a pop-up front camera and audio could be transmitted as seen on Vivo Apex.

Lenovo Z5 detailed specifications are unclear at this point. However, the company has been active in sharing teasers for its upcoming phone on social media platforms. Of course, the focus will be on all-screen display design. According to the company, it took 18 patented technologies and four technological breakthroughs to achieve the design on Lenovo Z5. A separate Weibo post by Cheng reveals that Z5 will offer 45 days of battery standby time, though the battery capacity is unknown

Moto G6, Moto G6 Play with 5.7-inch 18:9 displays, Android Oreo launched in India

Motorola has officially announced the launch of its latest budget-centric G6-series smartphones in India. The company has introduced Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play for the Indian market. The former comes with a price tag of Rs 13,999 and the latter is priced at Rs 11,999. The Moto G6 will be exclusively available on Amazon, while the Moto G6 Play on Flipkart along with the MotoHub.

Moto G6

To start with the key specifications of Moto G6, the phone features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.  The smartphone is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. This is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro SD card slot. 

It ships with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. This dual SIM phone has two rear cameras - 12-megapixel primary camera with 76-degree lens and f/1.8 aperture.  For selfies and video calling, it offers a 5-megapixel front camera with 79-degree lens and f/2.2 aperture.

The Moto G6 is powered by a 3000mAh battery with TurboCharge support and there is a fingerprint sensor on the front embedded in the home button. On the connectivity front, the phone supports 4G LTE, WiFi, USB Type-C, NFC, 3.5mm earphone jack, Bluetooth 4.2, and dual-SIM. It has been launched in indigo and silver colour options. The phone measures 153.7x72.3x8.3mm.

Moto G6 Play

Coming to the Moto G6 Play, it has a 5.7-inch screen but comes with HD resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone is backed by a 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.

On the camera front, it features 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture with a single LED flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel front sensor. The smartphone is juiced up by a 4000mAh battery with TurboCharge support and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack, and the usual sensors. The G6 Play comes in indigo and gold colours. The phone weighs 173 grams and measures 154.4x72.2x8.95mm.
